Love it, well built & quiet, thanks, quality product.
Not the most powerful fan i’ve seen.
Does what it says on the tin. Here are the specifications for the BLACK ORCHID Orchid BO-AF-100-UK 100 mm 4-Inch Diameter Axial Flo In Line Horticultural Extractor Fan –:
- Mounts directly to a 4″ hydroponic carbon filter.
- Can be used as air intake and mounted in hydroponic tent pockets.
- Supplied with a 1.8m power cable and UK fitted plug.
- Moves up to 105 M3/hour of air and fitted with a quiet 14W motor.
- Suitable for connecting to the end of short duct runs up to 3 meters.
Yeah it makes a slight muhum sound but works really well.
Neat little unit ideal for ventilating my very small workshop.
Reviews from purchasers :
- Useful air mover, but could be quieter
- Doing a good job
- Very goodno issues at all. Would recommend
Been using for a week or so and it’s doing a good job and it’s not too noisy it’s in the loft and you can’t hear it in the rooms below. I’m using it with a 4inch intake and i’m getting negative pressure so it’s all good.
Been in a very humid environment extracting humid air (over 90%). It is not recommended above 80% though i think. Easy to clean, very quiet and good cable length so no issues at all.
Nicely packaged, as described, fairly quiet, effective for size. Good product, much better than using a desk fan, can sit in tent pockets if needed.
Have no idea what the rpm are but these are amazing , air flows so fast.
This 125mm bo-af-125-uk fan replaces an industrial papst that has been working for the last fifteen years, but eventually needed new bearings, alas not available any longer. It simply plugs into a standard 125mm plastic duct and is secured with normal duct tape. At 58dba it is significantly noisier than the papst (claimed to be 37dba when new). It takes 20w (not 16w) from 230v in free air, rising to 22w with five metres of flexible metal duct, still less than the papst (30w) which is rated to move slightly less air but can cope with a much higher back pressure. It uses a standard 13amp plug with six feet of three-core 3amp mains lead, but only the live and neutral are connected at the double-insulated fan motor. I replaced the supplied 13amp fuse with a more appropriate 1amp fuse. I’m using it as one of a couple of fans that drive short ducts blessed with baffled sound absorbing boxes to move cool air into a couple of rooms from a hidden central air-con unit.
Arrived fast, well packaged and looks good, would recommend.
Could do with being a little more powerful, but did what i needed it to do. Don’t expect this clear a room, it’s not built for that.
Slight rubbing against the casing but nothing that can’t be sorted with a few tweaks, does what it’s meant to and is quite powerful.
Good little fans and low wattage.
Top notch little fan gets air into rooms easy and simple just plug and love it great design love the colour just perfect.
It works but it’s weaker than i was expecting (and i wasn’t expecting too much). Wouldn’t use in a space larger than 0.
Better than expected for the price.
Nice and silent, worked well but fan came loose and started banging off casing after about 4 months of 24/7 use.
Used now for over 5 weeks, absolutely no problems whatsoever, reliable and very quiet.
